Jeannette Godoy

I met Jeannette on a field trip to the La Brea tar pits about 10 years ago. Our kids were in 3rd grade and they were in class with one another. I immediately loved her vibe and was intrigued and wanted to know more.

Over the past 10 years our friendship has grown over coffee dates, long walks on the beach and in those conversations we have talked about our kids, our hopes, our dreams, our passion and what we truly want to create not only for ourselves but for others. Jeannette – a creative on all fronts – is determined, driven, doesn’t take NO for an answer and believes in what she believes in. About a year ago, we joined forces on a project and we are both watching it unfold and materialize in the most organic and beautiful way. Her hard work, my hard work and our determination to create with purpose is unpacking itself in a way that is teaching us both patience and hope.

Jeannette started her career in the entertainment business about 30 years ago, after graduating from UCLA. She is a first generation, Mexican-American, and is proud of both of her cultures. Being a trained dancer, she started her path as a choreographer and then moved in to costume design where she was able to combine her love for movement with her passion for design. Currently she has focused her attention on writing and directing. She is very passionate about sharing authentic stories about women and her culture and doing in a way that displays dignity, truth and beauty. She is a gift, not only as a friend, but as a creative light who is inspiring others to dream the dream and then do what it takes to live the dream.
